Limited Warranty to Original Purchaser

The SOTO brand product, as supplied by Beijing SOTO Corporation and delivered new, in the original carton to the original consumer purchaser, is warranted by Soto against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a limited warranty period.


1. The product warranty period is one (1) year and begins on the original date of purchase.

2. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in material and workmanship encountered in normal use following the instructions given in the operating specifications and product label. Repair service will be provided for items listed on the product warranty card. Warranty service can only be performed in the Soto designated service center when the complete information of warranty card and purchase invoice are provided.


3. Certain fees will be charged within the warranty period in any of the following circumstances:

(1) If incomplete information of the product on the warranty card is provided, such as purchase date, name of purchaser or place of purchase. Alteration on the original warranty card or invoice will lead to disqualification of free repair;

(2) If the machine malfunctions due to the failure to follow the proper operating specifications provided in the user manual;

(3) If the product fails or is damaged due to the use of unauthorized accessories provided by the other companies;

(4) If damage is caused by external environment factors, such as incorrect electrical line voltage and surge, or pest infestation;

(5) If product is damaged resulting from unauthorized repair or modification;

(6) If the product is damaged due to abuse or neglect;

(7) If the product is damaged due to fire, water, lightning, earthquake, or other acts of nature;

(8) If the product fails or is damaged due to inappropriate installation or set-up;

(9) If proper maintenance is not followed, such as periodical replacement of HEPA filter, activated carbon filter or other of accessories.


Return / Replacement


In order to safeguard consumers' lawful rights and interests, the current provisions are formulated in accordance with relevant provisions of Law of the People's Republic of China on Product Quality and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests.

1.In case of functional fault occurring within 7 days of the purchase, the customer has options for a full-refund return, replacement or repair.

2. In case of functional fault occurring within 15 days of the purchase date, the customer has right for replacement or repair. In terms of replacement, the company will offer the user another product of the same model with the same specifications free of charge.

3. For any product that is not serviceable despite three repair attempts by authorized service center, the company will offer the user another product of the same model with the same specifications free of charge.


Shipping Costs


1. For any defect covered by the warranty, the shipping cost for repair/return will be paid by the company. The shipment must be done via a courier service and the refund or replacement process will start as soon as the product is received.

2. For any repair not covered by the warranty, the customer shall pay for the cost of shipping.
